This range includes:

Cellecta Screedboard

Acoustic Battens

Our acoustic batten systems, such as the JCW 50C Acoustic Batten System, are designed for use over concrete sub-floors and also include the JCW 80C & 80T Acoustic Batten Systems, which can be used over both timber and concrete floors.

Acoustic Deck

Also available is the JCW Acoustic Deck 28, 32, & 19 which are overlay panels with pre-bonded resilient layers. This high-impact foam ensures sound transmission is reduced and allows developers and renovators to invest in any finished floor type, including carpet, tile, and even vinyl.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Part E of building regulations?

Part E of the building regulations sets out the soundproofing standards for new builds and conversions. The aim is to reduce unwanted noise and sound transmission between dwellings.

To comply with Part E building regulations, a combination of acoustic products must be installed on separating floors to achieve the desired impact and airborne sound levels.

Failure to incorporate adequate soundproofing into the design stage of any build could cost thousands of pounds to rectify. This is because Building Control requires evidence that all new homes, refurbishments, and conversions comply with Part E.

Can acoustic flooring be used with all final floor finishes?

Here at JCW Acoustic Flooring, we supply and install a wide range of acoustic flooring systems, and are confident that we can help you to soundproof your space.

All of our acoustic flooring systems can be used for concrete and timber floor installations and are expertly fitted by our team.

Cellecta Screedboard 28 is compatible with most floor finishes, including laminate wood flooring, ceramic tiles, Amtico vinyl, and carpet.

Acoustic decks are generally suitable for laminate flooring, carpets, and carpet tiles. However, vinyl may require additional floor preparation with Acoustic Deck 19.

Almost any final floor finish can be used with Acoustic Cradles, including low-cost 18mm thick T&G chipboard, plywood, or hardwood.

For more information about our acoustic flooring systems, or help choosing the most suitable option for your building, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team at JCW Acoustic Flooring on 01204 548 400.

Will all of your floor need soundproofing?

Many customers often question whether their entire floor needs soundproofing or if they can just cover the affected area – keeping their costs to a minimum.

The simple answer is, the whole floor needs to be soundproofed. Much like waterproofing, if there are any gaps between the subfloor and the final finish, then the sound will find a way to fill the empty space.

As expert acoustic flooring installers, the team here at JCW Acoustic Flooring regularly provide products for new build and refurbishment projects. We will make sure that acoustic flooring systems are installed correctly, offering maximum sound resistance.

To find out more about the service we offer, feel free to send us a message via our online enquiry form. We’ll be more than happy to share our knowledge and expertise.

Is acoustic flooring easy to install?

If you’re a competent DIYer, you may consider installing acoustic flooring yourself. However, most people opt to have such systems professionally installed, with good reason.

Asking an expert to install your acoustic floors will not only save time and money in the long run, but also give you the peace of mind that your flooring complies with Part E of building regulations.

At JCW Acoustic Flooring, we have vast experience when it comes to installing acoustic flooring products and pride ourselves on working quickly and efficiently. We never skimp on quality or safety.

To benefit from the expertise of our experienced fitters, be sure to contact us. This way, we can discuss your requirements in further detail, determine the most suitable products for your new build or refurbishment project, and arrange a convenient time and date to install acoustic flooring.
